My Team

My progress to date has been helped by a large number of people. I would not be in the sport if it were not for the support of my family who have been fantastic. This includes my long suffering sister Lauren who no longer rides but is usually left in charge of the ‘beasties’, as she calls them, when I am away competing. She can usually be relied upon to provide an unusual and entertaining view point on most things equestrian.

My grooms keep the horses well turned out, help with the fitness and most importantly keep the horses happy.

Sarra and Les

I have been lucky to have access to excellent trainers but my mainstays are Diana Zajda and Les Smith (everybody knows Les).

William Micklem (www.williammicklem.com) was an early influence and together with his brother, John, he still finds most of my horses in Ireland.

We have several other regular visitors to the yard. Alistair Smith and Jim Ferrie look after the horses’ feet, whilst Struthers & Scott and Tim Watson of The Equine Veterinary Clinic deal with any health problems. David Brown of Equi-Dent is in charge of teeth and Liz Briscoe, an Advanced Equine Body Worker, uses Equine Sports Massage and other techniques to help the horses maintain optimum performance.
